EA Forex
Definition
In forex trading, an EA is an Expert Advisor, which is a piece of software written specifically for the MetaTrader platform. An EA advises traders on which trades to make, and can be programmed to automatically place trades based on a set of predetermined criteria. These flexible pieces of software can take into account and utilize any information available on the MetaTrader platform.
Expert Advisors are written in a proprietary programming language called MetaQuotes Language Version 4 (MQL4).
